Meizu releases augmented reality glasses and smart ring MYVU

Meizu not only launched the Meizu 21, a new flagship with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but also made a new sub-brand official. Under the name MYVU comes this subsidiary of Meizu, which focuses on augmented reality technologies that aim to redefine users’ reality.

To celebrate their arrival on the market, they have released two very attractive products. Below we describe the details and prices of the augmented reality glasses and the MYVU smart ring.

The first two products to debut the new Meizu brand complement each other. Or the MYVU Discovery AR, which are augmented reality glasses with a Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor and a pair of microLED displays as lenses. In addition, it comes with the Flyme AR system, which offers assisted navigation with an augmented reality interface and voice assistant.

Another product they launched is the MYVU Smart Ring, which is a smart ring that complements glasses. With a ceramic coating on the outside and stainless steel on the inside, it also has IPX7 waterproof protection.

What makes him smart? Well, it has sensors that allow you to control the glasses with finger gestures. So you can control music playback, browse videos, reply to messages, among other tasks, just by moving your finger.

Finally, it is worth noting that these products are already available in China. The glasses are priced at 9,999 yuan ($1,300), while the smart ring can be purchased for 399 yuan ($52). There is currently no word on whether the brand is planning a global launch of these glasses and smart ring.
